Software to Debut at PLA in Nashville

Atlanta, GA – EnvisionWare, a leading provider of self-service and library efficiency solutions, announced today the company will unveil both its new Reservation Service software and its revolutionary CloudNine® platform at the PLA conference in Nashville.

The Reservation Service leverages all the flexibility and features of the world’s leading library computer reservation product, PC Reservation® plus many additional features and a completely new product architecture. With the Reservation Service, patrons can easily reserve an unlimited variety of resources, including study rooms, tablets, and 3D printers. Library staff can configure which resources are available, and how the reservation process for each individual type of resource will work.

The Reservation Service is built on CloudNine a unique, multi-tenant cloud service that makes maintenance and administration virtually effortless for library staff. CloudNine’s ZeroClient removes the burden of updating from customers, from a single branch library to a complex consortium. When there is any form of update to the Reservation Service every customer immediately has that update without requiring staff assistance. This includes everything from small updates and patches to major new releases. The result is that customers are always running the latest version without manual updates.

Reservation Service set-up takes a matter of hours and is easy to implement. The service can be hosted in the cloud, on a cluster of Amazon Web Services hosts or installed on a library system’s local server or servers. When purchased as a cloud service, there’s no host application to install or update.

EnvisionWare will offer demonstrations of the Reservation Service and the transformational CloudNine platform at the EnvisionWare booth (#1101) at the upcoming PLA conference in Nashville.
