EnvisionWare is On the Move!
New Headquarters Location is Part of a Strategy to Enhance Efficiency and Streamline Service
It’s official! EnvisionWare is packing to move to a new headquarter location in Atlanta. The move is part of a year-long strategic plan focused on streamlining operations for a growing product line and customer base. Here is the plan in phases:
Phase 1:
Phase 1 of the strategic plan began in 2020 and focused on the expansion of the company’s Columbus Technology Center (CTC) to accommodate the growing CloudNine® development team who are based in Ohio. The CTC is also home to EnvisionWare’s growing technical team for hardware repair, equipment manufacturing and staging.
Phase 2:
With the technical and development team housed in Columbus, Phase 2 of the plan involved relocating the company’s main warehouse from Atlanta to Columbus. The Columbus Distribution Center, which opened in the summer of 2020, warehouses over $2M of inventory, including replacement parts to ensure rapid delivery and maximum uptime. The facility is located near the Columbus airport and is centrally located in the Midwest at the crossroads of major interstates, making it faster and easier for EnvisionWare to support a growing customer base throughout the United States.
Phase 3:
The reduction in development and warehouse space needed in Atlanta, combined with the adoption of a work-at-home strategy for the Atlanta-based support teams, enabled the company to relocate to a smaller and more modern office space in Atlanta for the final phase of the plan.
“We migrated to a remote working environment during COVID-19 and found that the majority of our customer service and operations teams are happier and more productive working from home,” said EnvisionWare Co-Founder and CEO, Mike Monk. “The new headquarters enables us to reduce our carbon footprint in Atlanta, while still accommodating staff and management who desire working at an office or who need to be in an office for meetings and events.”
The new headquarters are conveniently located at the intersection of I-85 and Sugarloaf Parkway, near two Marriott hotels and several local restaurants, and a few blocks from the original headquarters building at Premier Parkway. As part of the relocation plans the company is implementing a new VOIP telephone system that will accommodate greater flexibility for multiple offices and for employees working from home.
The Company now operates 3 US offices, 1 service center location and an APAC office in Australia as well as regional sales and service staff across the US. Service capabilities are also provided in Canada and by distributors in the US, Europe, the Middle East and APAC.
