Kathy Gindin

When it comes to happiness, books and beaches go hand-in-hand for EnvisionWare’s Professional Services Manager, Kathy Gindin. Add in libraries and you have the perfect ingredients for Kathy, both on and off work hours.

Kathy grew up in Ventnor, New Jersey where she helped her father in his shop fixing things and detailing boats. Her family spent their summers either at the beach or out on the water in the back bays. She gained technical skills early on, both in her father’s shop and in one of her first jobs, which was as a slot attendant at a casino in Atlantic City. The job entailed paying out jackpots and unjamming mechanical and optical coin readers and coin hoppers (back when casinos used coins for slot machines!).

Kathy’s career with libraries began at an early age as a volunteer in her local library. Her love of libraries blossomed into an MLS degree and Kathy went on to spend over 20 years working for her local library system. An avid reader, Kathy enjoyed helping people find their next great read.

Kathy made the transition from the library to EnvisionWare in 2021, starting as an Installation Consultant and then becoming a Project Manager. Her outstanding technical knowledge and passion for delivering outstanding customer service have led to Kathy’s recent promotion to Professional Services Manager. She’s looking forward to continuing to help people in libraries by ensuring that staff and patrons have a great experience with EnvisionWare products.
